Brazil

This largest of South America’s countries needs no introduction, really – it’s so damn large that it borders nearly every other country in S America except Chile & Ecuador. You could explore the madly vibrant, beach-perfect cities of Rio, Sao Paulo and all the others down its coast, or you could opt for exploring the magnificent Amazon and its world’s largest bio-diversity, not to mention its 60-odd remote tribes that have had no contact with man. Sport-lovers, there is a stadium in every city and a match on almost all the time. You may want to work on your Samba moves - the whole country seems to move to its beat all the time. Or groove to Forro music, which literally translates as ‘great party’. Speaking of parties, everyone must attend the pre-Easter Carnival, the greatest party on earth, at least once in their lives.

Peak Season Description:
In this country for all seasons, November to March are the warmest and the most fun in the cities and all the beaches up and down its substantial coast. The Amazon tends to be wet at this time of year, but it is still a popular destination with great wildlife watching opportunities. The NE coast aslso sees a few showers, but they are mostly restricted to the afternoons. Book early if traveling around the February Carnival time.
Shoulder Season Description:
Right from April to October sees Brazil enjoying cooler temperatures up and down the country. Wildlife comes alive in the Pantanal region and the massive cities of Rio and Sao Paulo see less congestion on the beaches. The Amazon is in flood at this time after its wet months, making river exploration fun and enriching.
