    Day 01 : Arrival in Rio de Janeiro

    Welcome to Rio, the marvelous city, a perfect combination of warm weather, beautiful sceneries, friendly people, music and happiness. Enjoy the beauty that emanates from its natural tropical environment where mountains, forests, beaches, lagoons, and vegetation form a dramatic back-drop. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel on Copacabana Beach.

    Day 02 : Rio de Janeiro

    This morning, visit one of the 7 wonders of the world, the Statue of Christ the Redeemer located on the top of Corcovado Mountain, at a height of 2,329 feet above sea level, surrounded by the Tijuca Forest, the world's largest urban rainforest. The next stop is Santa Teresa district, the Montmartre of Rio, one of the most iconic cities due to its unique hillside geography, history, and the alternative urban lifestyle, home today to some of Brazil's most vibrant artists - many of whom open their private studios to the public.

    Day 03 : Rio de Janeiro

    This afternoon your private guide will accompany you on a cable car ride to Sugar Loaf Mountain. Rising up from a small peninsula at the entrance of Guanabara Bay, its name refers to its resemblance to the traditional shape of a concentrated refined sugar loaf. Enjoy 360-degree views of the city from your glass cable car. 

    Later, we carry on to downtwon Rio where the major colonial buildings are located and where the city started to develop.

    Day 04 : Rio to Iguassu Falls

    Time to say goodbye to Rio and fly to Iguassu Falls, home to one of the world's largest and most impressive waterfalls. Explore the Brazilian side of the falls, which offer spectacular panoramic views. Your guide will take you on a walking tour through the National Park of Iguassu to a catwalk, populated by friendly raccoon-like creatures.

    Today we will explore the other side of the falls, crossing the border to the Argentine side. The highlight of the trip is a visit to the suspended platform at the very brink of the abysmal Devil's Gorge, the largest of the waterfalls.

    The best way to visit the Historical Centre of Salvador, considered National Heritage and declared World Heritage by UNESCO, is on foot, taking your time unraveling the mysteries of this city rich in contrasts, history and beauty. Walking through the Historical Centre is a journey through time and feelings. The music, colors, smells of Bahian street food are always present, providing an unforgettable experience.

    Percussion class: Bahia is the percussive heart of Brazil and is filled with a rhythmic myriad of African beats that have attracted many international musicians, such as Paul Simon, Michael Jackson and Wayne Shorter. We will learn the rhythms (such as Ijexá, Samba, Samba-regae, Maracatu) and the unique instruments.

    Dance class: The mixture of movement and rhythm brought by the Africans, combined with Indigenous and European influences, and were the base of the vitality of Brazilian dance. Afro-Brazilian dance is characterized by rapid beat marking footwork and loose, free movements of the upper body; arms, chest, head and hips. The class structure begins with basic samba and afro-dance moves and eventually builds these steps into short sequences that get you acquainted with the dance.

Climate

The northern region of Brazil experiences tropical climate, whereas the southern region experiences temperate climate, the equator that passes through acting as a climatic divider.

Areas along the Atlantic coast which receive heavy rainfall consist of tropical rainforests composed of broadleaf evergreen trees. The semiarid northeast has thorny vegetation.

As Brazil is home to 60% of the Amazon Rainforest, it accounts for 1/10th of the animal species of the world. It is considered to be the country with the most biodiversity. It has the highest number of species of plants, freshwater fish and mammals, ranking second in number of reptile species and third in number of bird species.
