    Day 01 : Arrival in Malaga

    Arrival at Malaga airport and private transfer to your luxury family-run accommodation, just outside Priego de Cordoba located right in the heart of the Subbetica Natural Park. Our representative and tour leader will welcome you at the arrival hall and escort you to your hotel.  After check-in and getting settled in, you will enjoy a lovely welcome dinner. We have hand-picked a selection of traditional Andalusian dishes to delight your palette.

    Day 02 : Sierras Subbeticas

    Today you are off to explore the stunning natural park of Sierras Subbeticas and the prettiest white villages of this picturesque area.

    After enjoying a fresh homemade breakfast, your driver and tour guide will pick you up from Casa Olea to take you to Rute where you will be visiting the famous aniseed liquor and chocolate museums. There, you will have the opportunity to sample two of the most emblematic products of the region.

    We will then take you for a scenic drive across the Iznajar Lake where you will be able to take some lovely pictures of the impressive scenery.

    From there, we will complete the morning with a walking tour of the Barroque town of Priego where you will be visiting the old town and some of its most characteristic churches.

    Today, lunch will be at a local restaurant which exclusively uses local products.

    After lunch, you will be driven back to your hotel where you will have the afternoon free to do some hiking or simply relax by the pool.

    In the evening, dinner will be served at the hotel's restaurant where you will be able to admire the magnificent views of the olive groves and the Subbetica mountains range.

    Day 03 : Zuheros

    Today we explore the attractive white village of Zuheros, do some exercise on the Via Verde and taste some delicious local goat cheeses.

    Your driver and guide will meet you after breakfast to take you for a short hike of approximately one hour along the Via Verde, an abandoned railway line that has been converted into a popular walking and cycling route. After this enjoyable morning walk, we will visit the charming village of Zuheros and its Moorish castle.

    Now it is time for cheese tasting as Zuheros is the most popular goat cheese producer of the region. The cheese tasting will be followed by a wine-pairing lunch. The wines you will try over lunch are mostly organic and will be provided by our local wine producer who is part of the famous Montilla-Moriles wine region known for its varied, flavorful and unique wines.

    A trip to Zuheros is not complete without a visit to the famed Cueva de los Murciélagos (the Cave of the Bats) which is why we will head there after lunch.

    Once done, we will return to Casa Olea where you can relax and enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening before dinner-time.

    Day 04 : Montilla

    After breakfast, check out start our journey towards Cordoba. Today you make a stop on the way to explore a very unique area which is off the beaten paths between Granada and Cordoba: the wine region of Montilla-Moriles. Here the landscape is certainly comparable to the Italian Tuscany.

    First, you will be visiting a local family olive oil mill to learn about the extra virgin olive oil production and taste two of their delicious varieties along with freshly baked bread.

    Afterwards, we head to a local family winery located right in the heart of the vineyards of Montilla hills. You will learn the whole process of the unique "sherry" wine production from this area (one of the oldest in Spain) and also taste the 5 different varieties followed by a traditional tapas lunch home made by the winery owners. After lunch, you will be driven to your quaint accommodation in Córdoba, Alberca Deluxe, a small family-run guest house located in the city centre.

    Once checked-in, you will have some free time to yourself, after which your tour guide will take you on a short orientation walk of Cordoba on your way to the restaurant where you will be having dinner tonight.

    Day 05 : Cordoba

    Today we discover Cordoba. After breakfast, we will be visiting one of the most iconic patios (private family courtyards) in town located in the San Basilio neighborhood. Afterwards, we will move into the city center for our gastronomical experience at the Victoria Market food court. The activity will start with a visit to the market where you will pick the fresh products to cook with: a hands-on cooking class with a local chef who will teach you how to prepare some of the most classic and traditional dishes from Cordoba: Salmorejo (Cold tomato cream), Berenjenas a la miel (fried aurbergines with honey) and Rabo de toro (Ox tail stew). While cooking, you will discover the age-old Roman, Christian, Jewish and Moorish influences behind the local cuisine.

    This morning of adventure ends with you enjoying the food you have prepared, paired with local wines, in a very friendly and casual atmosphere.

    Your art historian guide will meet you at the Victoria Market for an introductory walking tour to discover the main sites of the UNESCO listed city of Cordoba (the Mosque/Cathedral, the Jewish quarter, the Sinagogue and the Royal Alcazar/Palace).

    After the guided tour, you can spend a couple of hours resting back at your hotel before getting ready for a traditional tapas dinner within the Jewish quarter.

    Day 06 : Los Pedroches

    After breakfast, your private driver and tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to drive you through the scenic Sierra Morena Mountains to take you to Los Pedroches natural reserve. Today, you will discover the unique landscape of the Spanish "Dehesa" habitat where the black pigs are released and bred in complete freedom from November through March. This is a very exclusive experience for an enjoyable outdoor day including a visit to a family run Iberian pig farm, an Iberian ham cutting workshop, a ham tasting and a delicious homemade lunch with grilled vegetables, salad and cheese.

    Back at your hotel in the afternoon, you will have the option to either stay in or indulge in an Arabian bath/Spa and massage.

    In the evening, your tour leader will meet you at the lobby of your hotel to take you to the Royal Stables to enjoy an incredible and unique equestrian show.

    After the show, we will have dinner at one of the most emblematic restaurants and Bodegas in Cordoba.

    Day 07 : Departure from Malaga

    After breakfast and check-out, you can leave your luggage at reception. Before heading back to Malaga airport, you can enjoy this last morning in Cordoba at your leisure to do some shopping and stroll the narrow streets of the Jewish quarter.

    If you wish, you can also visit some interesting museums in town, like The Viana Palace, a beautiful manor house with stunning courtyards and gardens, or Julio Romero Museum, a local painter's art collection.
