    Day 1 : Arrival in Geneva

    Train transfer in 1st class from Zurich or Geneva Airport to Zermatt (3 - 4h). Meet & greet with Epic Europe; assistance with check-in at your hotel, The Omnia 5*. Gear fitting, resort orientation and “apero” to discuss the daily itinerary, hiking abilities and answer any questions you may have. Possibility for afternoon hike depending on arrival time. Dinner at Restaurant Kulinarik - Hotel Omnia 1 Michelin star.

    Day 2 : Warm up day Zermatt

    Warm-up hiking day. You start your day riding the historic Gornergrat cog railway (Europe’s highest open-air cog railway) direct from Zermatt to the summit of the Gornergrat, with a vertical climb of 1,469 metres. Afterwards we will hike for a couple of hours before enjoying an on-mountain lunch with amazing postcard views at Chez Vrony, one of our favorite restaurants with a striking view of the Matterhorn, then, we will enjoy a relaxing walk down to Zermatt. Dinner at “The Stuba”, Hotel Cervo; modern take on Swiss classics, wild game, meats and cheese.

    Day 3 : Hike Höhbalmen Zermatt

    Hike up the Trift Valley, small pathway and stairs carved in stone. Lunch at the Hotel Trift, built in the early 1900’s, amongst grazing black face sheep. Afternoon hike across the Höhbalmen - overlooking the N. Face of the Matterhorn, descend for a late afternoon drink in Zmutt, the earliest village in the Mattertal, when the rest of the valley was still covered in glacial ice. Dinner in Zermatt, on your own.

    Day 4 : Glacier Express to Andermatt

    Board the Glacier Express to Andermatt (dep. 8:52, arr. 11:49), an idyllic village in the little-known Swiss canton of Uri. A valley so untouched and beautiful that H.G. Wells referred to it as “The Modern Utopia”. Check in at The Chedi 5*. Possibility for afternoon hiking. Dinner at the locals favorite “River House Restaurant” regionally rooted and aware of its history, open for modern inspiration, responsible in its approach to nature and the environment.

    Day 5 : Hike Oberalp Pass & Tomasee

    This morning you will take a train from Andermatt to the Oberalp Pass (a 20-minute journey at an elevation of 2,044 metres) and into the Canton of Graubünden, the largest Swiss state and home to the lesser known Romansh language (now recognized as one of the four official languages of Switzerland, along with German, French and Italian).

    You will follow the fascinating, breathtaking mountain trail from the pass to the Tomasee, the small emerald green mountain lake situated below rocky precipices at 2,345 metres above sea level, which serves as the spring source of the Rhine River. Picnic lunch with local Swiss specialties near the lake. Dinner in Andermatt, on your own.

    Day 6 : Morning spa & Glacier Express to St.Moritz

    Enjoy a leisurely morning at the 2,400m2 Chedi Spa and Wellness centre, complete with a tranquil retreat of hydrothermal baths and a duo of swimming pools set against the stunning outdoor Alpine landscape. Or hit the trails for a morning hike up the Unteralp Valley, past idyllic stone framers huts and roaring turquoise water from the glaciers ahead. Board the Glacier Express promptly at 12:54pm to continue your journey towards St Moritz.

    A 3-course lunch is served aboard the train, while you watch the picturesque scenery from the comfort of your 1st class panoramic train. The spectacular Albula mountain railway winds through switchback tunnels, through the Rheinschlucht gorge, the “Grand Canyon” of Switzerland and passes over the famous Landwasser viaduct, before arriving in the cosmopolitan village of St. Moritz in the Engadin Valley. Check in at the Grand Hotel Pontresina 5* built in 1848, this Neo-Baroque masterpiece is recognized as one of the most spectacular and best-maintained historical hotels in Switzerland. Dinner is at the Kronenhof’s “Grand Restaurant”, in traditional grand hotel style jackets are required for gentlemen.

    Day 7 : Hike St.Moritz - Muottas Muragl

    Today after breakfast you will be hiking to Muottas Muragl. From the village of Pontresina we take the chairlift to Alp Languard and follow the leisurely Panorama Trail to the Muottas Muragl (2.5 hours – 6.5km) with incredible views of the Upper Engadin and its lakes. Lunch at the historic Hotel Muottas Muragl, this establishment stems back to the pioneering days of tourism when Graubünden’s first panoramic railway (1906) was built to Muottas

    Muragl. Descend to the valley via funicular, and return to the Kronenhof for a “Mountain Massage”, and one last sunset “apero” overlooking the Rosegg Glacier and the golden Larch trees. Dinner in St.Moritz, on your own.

    Day 8 : Departure day
